Sorry!! - What's happened this last month

A few people have been bugging me to post. I've just been so wrapped up with showers and summer and being home! I am now a little over 4 weeks away!!! That's if Trent comes on his due date. We shall see.

This is me at 32 Weeks. Trent was the size of a Honeydew Melon. Yum! I ate the whole thing by myself in just a few days. Woops! Well, I guess Trent and I both ate it.

And this is me at 33 Weeks. Trent was the size of a Pineapple. YUM...but we didn't cut it in time. =(

Things have been awesome! We went to Baton Rouge last Wednesday for my shower on Saturday and it was great! We FINALLY got to meet our precious niece Rowynn! We absolutely fell in love with her. I mean, I knew I loved her when I saw her picture, but holding her was a whole different experience. I was in heaven. Holding this baby just felt so much different than ever before. I think it's because I'm almost there.

Having her nap on me like this was the sweetest thing. I loved every minute. Trent even kicked her! haha
Cousin Rowy loved napping with Trent. =)

I'm ready for motherhood!

We have Trent's room almost ready. We need a shelf unit on the wall by his changer, which I think daddy is going to have to build. =) We would like a little bookshelf since aunt Kelly has given us several books and we have received a few as gifts. Love books! My aunt Kay is selling us a rocker for a VERY good price and we are going to paint it white and recover the seat. I can't wait to get that in the room.

Yesterday we went to Babies R Us to get some necessities we hadn't gotten off our registry. Daddy set up the pack-n-play today in the living room. =)

Grandma is coming over tomorrow to help mommy wash and organize clothes and anything else that needs to be organized in the nursery. Yay!! You gotta love grandmas.

Neither of us can believe he is 4 weeks away. It is so amazing. We can't wait to see his little face!

I guess I should go pack my bag!

30-31 Weeks A Head of Lettuce

Here I am between 30 and 31 weeks. Toward the end, the same comparison stays for about two weeks.

I had an appointment yesterday and the good news is that I got to see Trent! The bad news is that the reason they did the sonogram was because I was in a fender bender on the way to the doctor. They wanted to check him out and make sure he was functioning ok. It was nothing serious. Basically the light turned green and the first car didn't go but the second car went a little, honked and bam I hit her because I thought we were going. Lesson learned: stay VERY far from the car in front of you. =)

All is well. I am fine. Trent is better than fine, and the car is barely dinged on the license plate.

SO the sonogram told us that Trent is about 5 lbs, which is right on track. His head is down and his booty and feet are constantly poking at mommy. =) He is a very active little man. His head is a wee bit large, but she said it was nothing crazy or worrisome. We expected a large cranium since Joel and I both have rather large ones ourselves. Seriously...I had one of the biggest hats in marching band. haha That's ok...more brains!

The technician told me that he is already practicing his breathing exercises which will get him ready to breathe on the outside. She said we have a little over achiever on our hands. Again...this is to be expected with Joel and I as the parents. Way to go son!

Dr. Ku said everything looked great. She's not worried about me delivering too soon, but she is willing to induce if we feel like he is getting too big. I'm thinking I'd like to max out at 7.5 lbs. I don't really want to deliver an 8 or 9 lb baby like we were. Can you guess who was 9?? ME! =) We shall see what happens! Trent knows to stay in past July 10 for Tish and Brandon's wedding, and then he can come any time after that. According to the doctor, we shouldn't have to worry about him crashing that party.
