Bunny Watching

Watching Woody With Woody

How. Stinkin. Cute. Toy Story is his absolute favorite movie and he calls it "woody." He constantly says "Woody." He wakes up saying "Woody." He prays for "Woody. Buzz. Tatoe. Andy." :) It's so cute. So of course, we are throwing him a Woody themed party. Very small. Only a few kids his age. More like a mega play-date. :) Can't wait!

Mother's Day

We had a great day yesterday. It was very restful and the boys were extra sweet. :) I'm so happy to be their mommy.

Smiley

I just love this boy. He's getting so big and saying new words every day. This morning he saw my coffee and said "ka--wee...mug!" He sings and dances and is full of cuteness! The last few months leading up to the 2nd birthday have been SO fun. I can only imagine how hysterical these last 8 weeks will be. :)

Books!

J finally has a good collection of board books in his room! My sister gave me a box-full and I'm so excited! I've put them on his dresser shelf for now. I'd like for both boys to have a bookshelf on the ground in their room. The plan is, once J is bigger, he and Trent will have times when they play together and times when they play separately. I don't want them to be too dependent on each other. Trent does really well playing in his room alone. I think it fosters imagination and creativity. That's my teacher side coming out. Uh oh!

Busy Fingers

My sister taught me this snack trick for my toddler. He doesn't like his snacks mixed up and makes a mess trying to dig for certain things. This keeps them separate and also keeps him interested in the snack. :) sometimes he dumps it out... Oh well. I think the best thing is that it makes my snacks last longer. It keeps me light-handed. I have a tendency to fill a bowl with lots of the same snack when he really doesn't need that much.

Easter Pre

Here is our sweet little family today at my parents' house. We had a little egg hunt with a few of the cousins. :) Trent did good!! He wanted to eat marshmallows all night! Haha I will post more photos later this week. :)

Stormy Weather

Yes, Dallas had some CRAZY storms yesterday. It was intense. Luckily, Frisco didn't get the super bad stuff. We didn't really even get the super bad rain. We had some hail, but that was really the worst thing. HOWEVER, it was scary and we weren't sure what we were going to get. I left for work and while I was driving there my parents both called to tell me that our Day Care was taking cover. That meant the schools in Frisco were taking cover as well. I got to work and was a little stressed about leaving Sara here with the boys. They said I could go home...praise Jesus! Sara had no cell reception so that would have been bad news. I got here and we had a blanket party in the downstairs powder room. The boys were EXCELLENT and didn't fuss at all. After it passed, mommy made a fort and we had a blast!

Allergies

I just realized I didn't update with the results of the allergy test. It's funny I call him my peanut because that's what he is allergic to! I guess it's my fault. Haha Luckily he isn't deathly allergic to them. He's a level two and level 6 is when you need to carry an epi-pen. (did I spell that right?) So that's good news, but it still doesn't explain his eczema. Oh well. He has been looking so much better and we only have three (or less) months left on themostexpensiveformulainexistence. :)

Cool Guys

We spent some time outside last night because our house was too hot! Both of our AC units went out :| Luckily we met our home warranty deductible in December with our water heater. I guess that means two new units for free! Love it.

Allergy Test

We took J to the doctor today to get blood drawn for allergy testing. His skin has looked really good lately, but he still has little flare ups and we want to know what is causing it. Pray that we will get answers and will be able to help our sweet peanut be healthy. It was hard hearing my little one cry. Mommy cried too. He did a good job though. He kept very still and let them check both his arms several times. :) He is such an angel!

Play Date With Mommy

Leaves

Gammer and Papa saved all the raked up leaves for the cousins to play in. It was so cute! I wish I had been there, but they did a great job taking photos and videos. 

Trent LOVES playing with his cousins and he LOVES being outside! Double fun! Mom said he even stepped off the deck and crashed...and he didn't cry!! Amazing.

Outside

The weather was so great yesterday, so we let Trent run around in the backyard. He loved it!

Climber

Well, nothing on the table is safe anymore. It's only a matter of time before he's climbing out of his crib! I can't believe we have made it this far.

Can I just brag a minute? Look at his beautiful face!! I think someone needs to be a baby model. :) If he ever did it, it would be so fun to put his money in his savings account for college.

18 Months

I gave T a big boy haircut for his 18m milestone. It's tomorrow!! I can't believe how fast he is growing and changing. I'm so glad I discovered my ability to cut boy hair. It's saved a lot of time and money! I have been cutting Joel's for two years now. Glad I can do the boys' too! We were tired of the longer style not staying combed to the side his hair grows straight forward. So, I went a little shorter this time and we are able to style it 3 different ways! So fun. Daddy had a great time putting hair putty in it last night. :)

My Princes

The boys had fun at their cousin Elizabeth's birthday party yesterday. :)

The Patient

Trent burned his hand on mommy's curling iron last week. :( we were in Beaumont so we went to a care facility. He has second degree burns on several parts of his left hand. I felt awful from the moment it happened. He's just so curious and he wanted to see the curling iron. I hadn't pulled the bathroom door all the way closed. I'm usually so careful with the curling iron and very good at keeping him away from it.

As awful as if feels to see my baby hurt, I've definitely been counting my blessings. It could have been way worse. Lots of people deal with worse. We were blessed that he was back to his cheerful self after just a few hours. Going trough this, I've heard lots of stories from other moms about burns. Most are worse. I'm so glad we don't have to scrub his poor little hand.

He is on the road to healing and doing very well. We keep his had protected and re-apply his medication a few times each day. He's such a sweetie pie. :)
