Here I am at 26 weeks. Trent was the length of a cucumber - 15 inches head to toe! This is the week they start measuring the baby from head to toe rather than crown to rump. I assumed he was an English cucumber because I've never seen a regular one that was that long.

Trent's Closet
It's starting to look like a baby's closet! Our lovely cousin Leigh Ann sent us a box of clothes last week for Trent. My sister has some for us and so does my cousin Alisha. He is going to be set! We do need to make sure, however that they are the right season and sizes. =)
I will get all the tags off and wash them after my last shower. =) I actually can't wait to do that first load of his sweet little laundry! It won't last long, though. haha
Ok, these shoes were on sale at Target for $3 each! The ones on the left say "Blam" on them and Joel says that all the time. Love it. The ones on the right are just too cute for words. Love them!
Needless to say, our son will have a very fun and stylish wardrobe. Joel and I both love clothes and shoes, and we already love buying cute things for him!

Our Cute Little Trent!
If you look closely you can see (starting from the left) his little eyes, nose and mouth....and of course his cheeks! He is filling out nicely and we think he looks like Joel now. =)
And this is his leg and foot! =) His leg is pointing to the left and his foot is pointing up.
It's starting to feel so real. I have a baby in me and he is going to come out and be ours forever! I can't wait. I keep imagining the moment when they lay him in my arms for the first time. I'm going to bawl. I can't wait to love on him every day.

OUTFIT!
Joel and I got this outfit at Baby Gap and I can't WAIT to dress Trent in it!!! It looks big in the picture, but I promise it is tiny! He is going to look so handsome. =)
I have no idea what to dress him in to bring him home from the hospital. I'm thinking something comfy since it will be his first outfit. What do you suggest?

Mr. Stubborn
We had a sonogram yesterday just so they could get a look at Trent's spine to make sure he doesn't have Spina Bifida or Downs Syndrome. This was the second attempt to see his spine. Well, he decided that he was going to just sit on my bladder with his back facing the wrong way. It really is like he is sitting up inside my uterus because his head was right behind my belly button and his feet down lower. I laugh just picturing him sitting there kicking his little feet back and forth. hehe, but because of how he was sitting the sonogram technician couldn't even look to verify he was a boy! So she started prodding all around my belly really hard with that "mouse" thing. I don't know what it's called, but it acts kind of like a computer mouse. It was quite uncomfortable and put LOADS of pressure on my bladder. Trent was not having it. He was awake and kicking, but he would not move out of that position. I kept joking that he was stubborn like his daddy. =)
We got some good shots of his face and leg but could not get that spine. I was scheduled today for my glucose test so the technician just had me come in early to take a look before I had my blood drawn. Last night and this morning daddy gave Trent a good talking to about cooperating today. I guess it worked because this morning I could tell he was in a new position. His feet are usually under and to the right of my belly button, but this morning his feet were on my left side.
I drank that orange stuff that tastes like flat orange soda or that fake orange juice concentrate that you pour into a huge jug to make juice, and then I went to the docotor's office. Sure enough, he was in the perfect position. The sonogram technician immediately got a shot of his boy parts and said, "It doesn't get much clearer than that!" =) Good boy.
The doctor said he is looking very good and nothing appears to be wrong. He is measuring good and looking like a big healthy boy. She said not to worry about how big he is now though because it's too early to worry about that. I think they said he weighs about 2.5 pounds.
We got some good pictures of his face yesterday. I'll have to scan them and post them tomorrow. I also got several pictures today but I think I left them in the hospital bathroom. =( If not, they are in my car. I hope they are in my car!

Our Cool Son
I get really excited when I think about Trent and how cool he is going to be. I can't wait to get him cool clothes and make him all handsome! I just found a cool website today called The Retro Baby. They have so many cute onesies and t-shirts for little boys. Here are a few of my faves.
This one is "Smart like Dad" =) I like that.
Of course I love this one! Especially since mommy and daddy want to start a band. =) And he can wear it to Papa's community band concerts!
My little office man.
Hoot!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok, normally I'm not into cartoon character garb, but I love Cookie Monster. I'm sure Trent will be a cookie monster just like his daddy. =)
And of course he will have at least 3 Batman shirts. At LEAST!
And the Cat in the Hat is ALWAYS acceptable. =) Especially since mommy and daddy were in "Seussical the Musical" in college.
Yeah, they are pretty cool I guess. =)

22 Weeks - Papaya
Here I am at 22 Weeks. I didn't realize how big a papaya was! I'm not sure how accurate all of these fruits and veggies are, but it's still fun. =)
