Dallas Arboretum
Aunt Jane came for a visit, so the boys and I met her and her friend Barbara for a fun day looking at flowers and pumpkins! T loved it!
He sat on a pumpkin as big as him!
He made sure his brother was having a good time too.
He picked up a pumpkin just his size!
J was relaxing in style. =)
He LOVED the water features. There is one you can walk into and he got close enough for his knees to get wet. He was not a fan. haha
These were the "Heritage" mums we saw on the way out. They are the colors of the school where my Husband teaches. =)

A Jack-O-Lantern Amongst The Pumpkins
We took our little jack-o-lanterns to a fun pumpkin patch yesterday. Trent had the best time walking all over the place, trying to pick up pumpkins, and playing corn hole!

2 Months
I'm a little behind on posting this! Sorry. =) Joseph is doing so well. We just love him to bits! He is smiling and trying to talk so much! It's adorable. He's a very good baby.
The bottom one is Trent at 2 months. =) They are definitely brothers!

Plates!
Our big boy can eat off a plate now! He uses to just make a mess. Now he actually eats the food off it just as he would eat it off his tray. :) He is also signing please too. So smart!

Pappy and KK came for a very fun visit!
We ate at Cotton Patch and Trent colored for the first time! It's hanging on the fridge. =)
Joseph had some great conversations with them. =)

Drinking From a Straw
I think those baby food pouches with the nozzle helped him learn this. :) We never practiced or anything. He just did it the first time a straw went in his mouth!

Spaghetti Boy
This was how he looked after trying to feed himself spaghetti. Big boy doesn't want mama and dada to feed him.

Professor Bourdier
My dad put his glasses on Trent and he made the funniest face! I snapped a photo really fast and then got them off him before he went cross-eyed.

One Month Old!
I can't believe my little tiny is already one month old! He is such a good boy and so cute! We just love him. =)
Aaaaand I just realized I forgot the date. Oh well. Maybe I won't do the dates this time.
And here is Trent's one month photo:
Bath Time
I love his little alert face when I'm giving him a bath. =)
He just looks around and doesn't fuss. Good boy.
Looks like he will be growing out of that tiny tub from the hospital pretty soon. =)

Trent's Birthday Party
We had a little party for Trent with my side of the family (plus Joel's brother Jeff and his wife Sara) and a few friends. We wish more of the Bourdier side would have been able to come but we certainly don't expect people to travel for hours just for a one year old's birthday party. We hope to see many of you soon!!
It was a cereal theme. =)
Cereal bowl cake made by my friend Lauren
Rice Krispie treats, Froot Loop treats
Strawberry cupcakes with Froot Loops
Chocolate cupcakes with Cap'n Crunch Berries
Trent even had his photo made with Cheerios. =) My best friend, Erin, took his one year photos.
He did not like the cold water. And I have no idea what his cousin Tate is doing. haha
Little brother was hungry. Big brother liked the cake and didn't make as big a mess as we expected!

Birthday Boy!
Trent turned ONE on Sunday!!! I can't believe it. He has changed SO much in the last month. It's crazy.
Sleep Routine
He goes down for naps and bedtime without ANY rocking. THIS is a total game changer. We feel like our lives have been forever changed. haha THANK YOU Leah for telling me about this at the perfect time. We are in heaven. AND he goes to bed around 7 every night. That gives mommy and daddy time to be together!
TEETH!
He has four teeth all the way in, two on the way on top and one on the way on the bottom. We think that's why he's been extra whiney lately. He has done better at meals though. For a few days there he would whine when he wanted more instead of using his hand sign or just waiting for us to give him another bite. We do let him feed himself a lot, but he gets carried away and stuffs his mouth too full. Silly baby. =)
Impressions
He can do a lizard, a monkey and a puppy! I will say lizard to him and he sticks his tongue in and out. So cute! We are working on fishy and dinosaur. =)
Here he is on his birthday. Mommy made him a ribbon but he kept tugging at it.

And here we are at church with little brother! He did so well in his first service. =) Joseph is wearing a onesie like Trent's that says "I'm the little brother."

Joseph's Birthday - June 27, 2011
Well, I didn't think it would happen but we had to wait for him until the induce date! Silly baby. He just wasn't in a hurry. We got up early Monday morning and went into the hospital at 7am.
It was a gorgeous day to have a baby...at least until the heat set in. haha =)
We got all settled in and they started my pitocin at 8am. At that point I was dilated almost 3cm.
Dr. Ku came in and broke my water and I was so scared that it would hurt. It didn't. =) At 10:00 the nurse checked my dilation and I was at a 6. We discussed the timing of my friends and Joel's mom getting there on time with Trent for the delivery. The nurse said she would try her best to catch me at an 8.
I got my epidural and welcomed the numbness. My contractions had gotten fierce! They were never that bad with Trent. Ouch! The gang said they would go ahead and pack a lunch and come up to the hospital to be ready. An hour after the second check Dr. Ku checked me and said, "well you are ready!" I was in shock! I knew he would come quickly, but three hours!? Insane. I pushed a total of 5 pushes and Joseph was born. The doctor put him right on my belly and Joel cut the cord. It was so wonderful. Joseph barely cried and it was a pretty quiet cry. I cried a little but I was just in shock mostly. I still can't believe he is real.
I tried to give him his first bottle but he was too comfy on mommy and fell asleep. He had his first bath and man did they do a good job. He was so clean! Then we moved to our room and had lots of visitors! =) Joseph did so well in the hospital. The nurses and Dr. Ku said he was the most chill baby they have ever seen. The only times he cried were when he was born and when we were getting him ready to go home. What a sweetie!
Trenty did not know what to think of his brother and he still doesn't. =) That's ok with me! No jealousy issues here.

Our first family photo.
Big brother came up on the second day too and Joel sat him on my lap. He felt SO HUGE! I missed my big boy very much.
