Baby Ties!

I just found an Etsy store that I immediately fell in love with! It is called The Belle and the Beau. My husband is a tie collector of sorts so he has gotten me loving them as well. I always knew that if we had a little boy he would be wearing ties. I just didn't know there were such cute ties for babies! Little Trent will definitely be wearing a tie on special occasions.

My Cute Grandma!

Look at this cute picture of my grandma pregnant with my uncle Larry. He was the first of her 5 children. I guess this post can be in honor of his birth because it's his birthday today!!!
Happy Birthday uncle Larry!
Grandma, you are beautiful.

A Shirt From Daddy and a Glimpse of Trent!

I came home a few weeks ago and Joel was very excited. He had bought Trent a shirt. I love it! It is exactly the kind of thing our little man will be wearing a lot of.

We had an appointment at the doctor yesterday and got to see our little man only for about a minute. They weren't planning to do a sonogram at this visit, but we were under the impression that there would be one. We knew they needed a better look at his spine. So they squeezed us in last minute but he was sleeping with his back down and they couldn't get a good look. We will go again on April 19th, so hopefully we will get to see more of him at that time. Here are the photos we received yesterday:

21 Weeks

Well I know it seems like a big jump, but last week Trent was the size of a spaghetti squash. However, if you imagine the banana more filled out, it's not that big of a jump. Clearly, he's not as skinny as a banana! Nor is he as fat as a spaghetti squash. =)

20 Weeks

Here I am at 20 weeks! Trent is now the size of a large banana. I'm going to guess the length matches, not his width. =) He will probably be skinny like us, but I doubt he is as skinny as a banana.

He is still very active. I can feel him really well in the evenings. It's so much fun! =)

Plans for Trent's Room

We are planning to paint Trent's room over Spring Break which is NEXT WEEK! Yay!! Actually, I won't be doing any of the painting. Even if the paint was safe for me to be around, painting wears my body out big time. Joel asked his friend Brian to help us out and he said he would. Good friend. =) We want to paint it a light grey like the box above. It will go nicely with his bedding. And maybe mommy will paint a big tree on the wall. =) Who knows?!

We really want an orange chair in his room. Here are some ideas. =)
Something like this cushy glider.

Or something like this way cool retro rocker.
This would be a dream, but I'm sure it's way expensive. It has it's own designer.

But this orange pod chair from Target is probably the most realistic with our budget. I love it! I'm thinking this one would be more usable in the future. He could keep it in his room.

Ok now I have found this great crib at Target that I love as much as the one I posted before from Wal Mart...maybe even more because of the drawers. What do you think?

I can't wait to get started on his bedding! I think I will wait until we get the furniture though. Maybe next paycheck!? =)

Trent Loves Advocare!

We went to an Advocare mixer last night to learn more about the products. Advocare sells nutritional products that can help you lose weight by getting you healthy, build muscle, give you more energy and focus....etc. They are all really healthy and amazing quality. Advocare is one of the only products allowed in NFL locker rooms. Drew Brees (yes, the MVP of the Super Bowl) is an unpaid sponsor of Advocare. He actually turned down a 3 million dollar offer from PowerAid because he said he will not do anything that compromises his reputation with Advocare. He believes in these products, as do most of the Saints I'm sure! Who Dat!? =) Anyway, I just love those guys.
ANYwho, one of their best products is Spark. It gives you the energy and focus you need to get through the day. I had a small cup last night and Trent was going CRAZY! I won't be drinking it again unless I want him to get active. =) I guess it was a little more caffiene than he is used to. This stuff is better than coffee. I've never felt the effects of caffiene before, but spark has what it takes to wake up this zombie! Me, not Trent. =)We don't know if he is a zombie yet like mommy or a night owl like daddy!

Baby Bourdier Gender Announcement

We had the Haley side (my mom's family) over for a big reveal the day we found out the gender. I had made two cakes the night before, one pink and one blue. When we got home from the doctor I frantically iced the one that coordinated with the gender!
My dad, sister and mom were the lucky ones to cut into the cake to find out the surprise! The suspense was killing everyone!

And they cut it open to see BLUE cake!! It's a boy!!!

Trent already has his first outfit! Alisha and Amy had bought a girl one and a boy one. =)
It says "Here comes Trouble" which is probably the furthest thing from the truth! He will be sweet like we were.

18 Weeks - Really

Ok I got confused with the labeling of the weekly photos. This is actually 18 weeks. =) A Mango. A photo of me at 19 weeks will be coming soon! I wonder what food it will be this time!
I wish the produce section would always have the exact sizes I need. This mango is a little small. Oh well!
Trent started kicking and punching yesterday. I felt him during church and I have felt him several times today. It's funny because it feels just like you would expect a little human moving around inside of you would feel. There's nothing like it and it's unmistakable now.
He's in there and he's active!
