Wedding!

We drove to Houston this past weekend for uncle Jeff's wedding! It was a lot of fun and so great to see the Bourdier side of the family. We hadn't seen most of Joel's family since Christmas! Trent was a good little traveler, as usual. =)

Trent missed his cousin Rowynn. =)

He also missed his Mimi VERY much!

This is Daddy and his siblings. What a good lookin' group!

Uncle Jimmy is so silly! Trent just loves to play with him.

My boys looked VERY handsome for the wedding. =)
I made Trent's bow tie for the occasion. Bourdier men know how to dress!

Mr and Mrs Jeff Bourdier!

He loves his Pappy!!

My silly boy talked through the whole wedding (except when he heard daddy singing...cute!) And then he passed out cold shortly after it was over. Bless his sweet little heart.

The reception was so cool! It was on the veranda of the Alden hotel, downtown.

Trent tasted his first fresh strawberry and he liked it! =)
He made some silly faces because it was sour. hehe

Family of almost four! Mommy is about to burst!

I love this shot of the four Bourdi Sisters!  Jacqueline (on the right) is the only born Bourdi Sister. The three of us on the left are married in. =) We are all so lucky and blessed to be married to those Bourdier Brothers!

We also spent some time with Klint and Michelle that night and Sunday morning, but I did not take any pictures. =( Luckily we will be seeing them in a few short weeks after the arrival of baby Joseph! - Who is doing very well, by the way. He is getting stronger and stronger! I feel like he is constantly moving and way stronger than Trent was. I hope he isn't a wild card! I think he will be just as sweet as his big brother.

10 Months!

Our big boy turned TEN months this week!! I can't believe how fast time is going by. I still remember him being so tiny! But at the same time that seems like a different baby. It's amazing how much they change in a year.

 He loves to "help" mommy.

Trent has been quite the jabbermouth lately. He is always making noises - nothing new- but now he says words! He says Mama, Dada and Yes. =) Joel just got him saying Yes. It's so cute. It's more like "ssuh" but we can tell he is trying.

Oh they are so handsome!

He eats just about any baby food now. I don't worry about the schedule so much anymore since he's had all the basics and then some. He likes almost everything but he HATES this broccoli/carrot mix I got. I don't blame him. It smells terrible. I tried to give him a green bean and he gagged...a tiny bit of mashed potatoes....gagged. He even gags on bananas if they aren't mashed completely. I don't know what to do with that boy! The Dr. gave the go-ahead for table foods but he can't get them down. Poor baby.

I'm pretty sure his favorite thing to eat are puffs. He loves those things!!

We have been practicing using a spoon. I want him to feed himself asap to make life with two little ones easier. =)

He's getting the idea of the spoon. He knows to put it in the bowl for more.

One thing we work on during feeding time is sign language. We are learning:
More
Eat
All done
Milk
Drink and Juice
He understands more and will open his mouth when you say it, but he doesn't do the sign yet. He has a harder time with horizontal movements. He does the all done hands sometimes and sometimes he even tries to say it! I just love it.

Go Lumberjacks!! We'll get him to do that sign soon. ;)

We have finally tackled the sippy cup!!! I tried a few that did not work at all. He either rejected them or they spilled ALL over him because the flow was so fast. We tried the soft spout Nuby cups with handles and they do ok, but they are hard to open and hard to keep from leaking. You have to get every piece put together JUST right. Finally I got the tall Nuby cups with no handles and he does REALLY well with them. They are much easier to open and he was already a pro at holding his bottle so holding the cup is no problemo.

I did not intentionally match him to his cup.

First Baseball Game

Joel and I are not huge sports fans but we do love baseball. We took Trent to the Heritage v. Centennial game (Joel teaches at Heritage) and it was a blast! ...literally! It was so windy!! Trent didn't mind the wind. He was such a good boy and we were there for a few hours. The wind got a little chilly so he wore daddy's jacket. =)

Mr. Smarty Pants!

I took Trent out to Collinsville last week to visit Aunt Kay and Uncle Larry. Kay is making Joseph's crib bumper. She made Trent's last year and it is perfect!

 =) I can't wait to see Joseph's!

Back to the visit in Collinsville. On the drive there he got to ride in is brand new big boy seat! He likes it. =)Mommy likes it because it's rear facing up to 45 lbs and forward facing up to 65!

Trent apparently liked Josh Groban's singing on Ellen. He got right up to the tv!

So Aunt Kay was holding him and playing and she starts to do Pat-a-Cake with him. She took his hands and did it several times and he just laughed when she threw them in the pan. =) Then Trent took Kay's hands and wanted to make her do it. She was saying the words and clapping and when she got to the "roll them up" part HE ROLLED HER HANDS! He knew what to do! I was so proud! And he did it several times. We just laughed and laughed. It was amazing. =)

I had a dream last night that Joseph was born and had dark hair. =)!

9 Months Old - Late, Sorry!

Our sweet angel is already almost 10 months old!

When he turned 9 months a lot changed!
Hee saved all of his tricks for that last week! Here are his new things:

  • CRAWLING!
He started last week really slow, just taking one knee step at a time but now he goes pretty fast. He is still a little rob-tronic and his little arms look like a bull dog. I love it!

  • Pulling Up!
He's still not super steady so we kind of have to stay right by him, but he's getting better every day!

  • Walking along whatever he pulls up on
He is going to be walking on his own in no time!

  • Waving!
The doctor told me at our 6 month appointment that he would be doing this by our 9 month checkup and I was starting to think it wasn't going to happen. But he just started waving his little hand the other day! Now we just have to really connect it to hello and byebye. He will only do it on command sometimes.

First Easter =)

This was Trent's first Easter! I guess it's something about being a mom, but the meaning of Easter hasn't ever hit home as much as it did this year. I am so grateful for the incredible blessing God has given us through Jesus Christ. How amazing is it that God created a son KNOWING he would die, and how incredible is it that Jesus is alive! I love it.
Bunnies and eggs are fun, but that is the true meaning of Easter. Joel and I decided that we will make sure Trent and Joseph know that growing up. We want them to be excited about going to church on Easter Sunday, not about what is in a basket. So, we will not be doing baskets. They will get plenty of treats at the family egg hunt! This year's hunt was so fun. All of the kiddos were adorable!

He has his basket and he's ready to hunt!
I figured he didn't need a full-sized basket. My niece still managed to fit several eggs in it for him. =)

He found some! And they are delicious.

He's so cute. =)

This was the best we could do outside. Trent was not wanting to let the egg go and mommy can't keep her eyes open for pictures outside. It hurts!

All the little ones. Cousins!

Tate was eating marshmallows and when Trent tried to grab them he shoved them all in his mouth! haha!

My cousin Julia is expecting her second girl in August. =)We are 7 years apart so I never expected us to be pregnant at the same time! Fun!
Sisters =)

Playing with Aunt Kelly and Kaylee!

We totally got him to wave at that puppet!

A much better family shot! We coordinated of course.

Gammer gave him a bunny on Sunday =)

Flashbacks

Sometimes I like to go back and look at the pictures of Trent from his first few weeks to see how tiny he was. I can't believe Joseph will be here soon and he will be that tiny! I can't wait. =) The tiny times don't last long and they are really fun. You miss it when your little one gets as big as mine! My not-so little one!
